Tell your friend (who is probably just pressing the Print button) to open
the Print dialog (Ctrl+P) and make sure that the correct printer is selected. Most likely the active "printer" is the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer, a fax driver, or the like. If this is true when she starts Word, then she needs to change the default printer in the Windows Printers folder. -- Suzanne S.
