Apparently you have Word 2007 and the scanned document is currently a 2003
version. Next, you need to scan the document in with OCR software to be able to edit the text. OCR software isn't perfect so you're going to have to proof-read the resulting document carefully. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "pooone" wrote in message ... i scanned doc., it shows up fine the top of screen says compatability,,but i can't do a thing with it,,can't insert my text |

As Joanne implies, a scanned document is a graphical image and not editable
in Word. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org pooone wrote: i scanned doc., it shows up fine the top of screen says compatability,,but i can't do a thing with it,,can't insert my text |
