Thanks. Got the first round of tmps deleted but when searching in the
folders where my docs are stored, found more. Tried to move them to the recycle bin and an error message states "cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk" Is this normal?? I appreciate your help but it did not make a difference. Someone suggested
reformatting the hard drive. Never done that before but it sounds like a pain. "Help123456789" wrote: Thanks. Only if it bothers you that you will lose every bit and byte of data
(system, applications, files) stored on it. Reformatting a hard drive is the absolute last resort. (Though you could get a new hard drive, reinstall just your operating system, and make your old hard drive into an external drive, copying over data and reinstalling programs as you need them.) Reboot the PC then try again to delete them.
Make sure that Word and Outlook are both closed and that if you press CTRL+ALT+DEL there are no instances of winword.exe running under 'processes'.
