Unrestricted access there does not mean that the form is unprotected. Select
'Restrict Formatting and Editing' and then from the task pane 'Stop Protection'. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Heather Fabries wrote: Yes, I verified. Went to Developer tab and Protect Document. There is unrestricted access. Do I need to do something somewhere else? And as I look at it again, I notice that all of the toolbars are grayed out except for a few options. Thank you. "Stefan Blom" wrote: The file format should make no difference. Did you remember to *unprotect* the document before trying to edit it? -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Heather Fabries" wrote in message ... I have a form that was originally created in Word 97. I have used it in Word 2003 and have now upgraded to Word 2007. Up through the 2003 version, when I worked on the form, the forms toolbar would pop up. I the 2007 version, I found the forms 'toolbar' (by following directions from another question/answer in the discussion group dated 4/15/07, thank you). However, the toolbar is grayed out. I cannot use it. Do you know why? Do I need to save it in another format other than .docx? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Heather Fabries |
