Default Selected toolbars keep de-selecting

I have a set of toolbars I like to keep selected and visible while I am
working in Word 2003. Lately, they have been de-selecting and I have to go
back in and re-select them many times during the day. Does anyone know:
1) Why they started de-selecting?
2) What I can do to keep them selected permanently?

How do you define "de-selecting"?
If it is when you close Word and then reopen, they are not visible, then you
need to define the Toolbars in your Normal.dot or whichever template you are
working with, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...oToToolbar.htm that may
help.
Hope this helps, come back if this is not your situation.
