Default Forms within Documents

Hi all - this question may have been asked before and I apologize if so. I
have a Word (2003) document that had a form pasted into it. I have a
continuous section break before and after. When I protect the form and try to
use any part of the form the cursor just jumps to the beginning of the
document but does not let me type anything anywhere.

If I open the form in the location where I created it (also a 2003 word
document) and protect it- it appears to function correctly.

Is is possible to have a form in the middle of a document that is usable and
protected and still type into the rest of the document?

thanks

You need to unprotect the sections fore and aft if you want to type into
them.

I tried to do that but it appeared to be an all or nothing. There didn't seem
to be a way to independently protect/unprotect the sections.

Tools protect document editing restrictions filling in forms if there
is more than one section in the document you get an additional option to
select which sections to protect. There is a similar dialog available in
Word 2007 from the Developer tab.
