You can have your new changes appear with another color if you do as follows:
1. Make sure that Set the "Color" options in Tools Options Track Changes tab to "By author". Changes made by different authors will then appear with different colors. An author is identified by the value in the "Name" field in Tools Options User Information tab at the time when the change is made 2. Before making the new changes, you need to change yourself to "a different author". Therefore, change your name in Tools Options User Information tab. It is sufficient to add a space after your name - this will make you name look correct (revert the change when finished). Note that you cannot determine which colors are applied to the changes and the colors may not remain the same. For more details about how track changes work (incl. information about how colors are allocated to different users), see: http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trac...ngesWorks.html As regards the dates: You could use the macro found at the address below to extract the tracked changes to a new document €“ the date of each change will be listed: http://www.thedoctools.com/index.php...hanges_extract -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "RCabets" wrote: Is it possible to track changes and show changes by same author, but with different colors or tracking info by the date the author changes? |
