So i see, several times, that a macro can be created to cause your labels to
merge in columns instead of rows. I have been using Word 2003 and Excel 2003 (with the Avery 5161 Labels) in the Mail Merge Wizard to make labels for file folders, and am wondering if there is any way that is NOT a macro to make the labels print in order down and then over? Thanks! |

You can achieve this by using a Directory type mail merge main document that
you set up with two columns with space between them of one quarter of an inch an in the first column, insert a one row, one column table with fixed cell dimensions that are the same as those of the labels that you want to use (1" x 4"). Then in that cell, one set of the merge fields in the configuration that you want them. Then execute the merge to a new document. Of course if you had your data in Access (or you move it there), it has the ability to do this built in. -- Hope this helps.
