Referencing multiple endnotes
I am working with a word document where I have 6 endnotes/sources that refer to one sentence. Instead of listing each endnote as a superscript, is it possible to have a reference like 1-6 in the superscript. This may sound confusing so here is a visual example: This is my example 1 2 3 4 5 6. (numbers would be superscripted as endnotes) 1 endnote 1 2 endnote 2 3 endnote 3 4 endnote 4 5 endnote 5 6 endnote 6 My desired result would be: This is my example 1-6. (numbers would be superscripted as endnotes) Any help is greatly appreciated. -- jwh6573 |

Referencing multiple endnotes
Add a dash after the note numbered 1 in your example. Then format the
endnote marks numbered 2-5 as hidden text. All endnotes will still display correctly in the endnote area. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "jwh6573" wrote in message ...
