Default Easy way to switch line spacing

What is the easiest way to switch line spacing in a document?

My template has about 16 styles all based on the style ParaBase.

I changed ParaBase from single to double spacing and that worked, then
I saved a new style set. This meant in theory I could switch from
single to double spacing by changing style set - but for some reason
it then started to complain that Heading 1 couldn't be amended - the
built in heading styles were restricted and none in the document so
not sure where that came from.

I guess I could write a macro to redefine the spacing in ParaBase and
link it to a keystroke, but I wondered if there is some 'official' way
that it should be implemented using 2007?

The best way to do this is to first define your document defaults for the
styles using the Manage Styles dialog box (at the bottom of the Styles task
pane) and then make sure the styles you want to use in your Style Set are
added to the Quick Styles gallery. Save your Style Set and then repeat for
the next style set.

Note that the Document Defaults are the base formats for your document (and
are saved in your Style Set) so if you are attempting to create a base
formatting for your document using "ParaBase" try using the Document
Defaults instead.
