Hi. I'm using a special TT font that I downloaded. Trouble is, when
I transfer my Word document to some other computer which is unlikely to have the said font, it reverts to some other font that has nothing to do with my intentions. How does one transfer a document and _keep_ the font without having a 3rd party go through the trouble of installing it? |

If it's embeddable, you can embed it. How you do that depends on your Word
version, which you have not told us. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "Cindy" wrote in message ... Hi. I'm using a special TT font that I downloaded. Not all fonts can be embedded so even a .pdf file isn't a guarantee. The
only way to be certain is to create a graphic of the text in that font. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Cindy" wrote in message ... My version is Word 2003. I specified "Embed TrueType Fonts" in the Save Options but it does not seem to have worked. How can one save it as an image? Also, is this problem true for PowerPoint, too? Thanks! |

In that case, it may be that the license doesn't permit embedding. You can
copy a text selection and Edit | Paste Special | As Picture, but the quality of results varies. -- Suzanne S.
