Default hyperlink with switch not working

When I create a hyperlink in word to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" it fires up outlook fine but when I add the
switch to calendars it doesn't like it
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /select
outlook:calendar
This works fine as desktop shortcut and when placed in the startup with my
other shortcut it will open up my calendar as well as my email.
Any ideas as to how I can get it to work in Word (or SharePoint) as a
hyperlink?
Thanks in advance

You can use the Shell function to start Outlook. Create a macro and then run
it in Word via a MACROBUTTON field (see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/tblsfldsfm...croButton.htm).

I tried but failed to do what I want with this method, however I accidentally
stumbled on the solution by simply typing Outlook:inbox (then space) in word
Similarly
Outlook:contacts
Outlook:Inbox
Outlook:notes
Outlook:journal

Create hyperlinks
These also worked in the SharePoint Quick launch which is where I eventually
wanted them
