Default TOC and Headers

As Suzanne has explained, Word does not include text in headers or footers in
a table of contents. If you want to continue placing heading text directly in
the header or footer, you will have to add a TC field in the document body
for the text that should be included in the TOC. For more, see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/TOCTips.htm.

However, the usual approach is to keep the headings in the document body and
insert a STYLEREF field to repeat the current heading in the header (or
footer). For more on this, see (the first section of) the article at
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/StyleRef.htm.

I'm generating a report and have inserted my header 1 and Header 2 style into
the Header/Footers of the report. Now I would like to generate a Table of
contents, but I noticed that it does not notice the style I used in the
header. Is there a way for the TOC to recognize the style in a header
