56g2000hsm.googlegroups.com, says... I got problems when I link from a Word document on one mapped network drive to a document on another mapped network drive. The link changes so that eg. the mapped drive f: changes to file:////\\server\sharedFolder. Is it possible to make the link to the f-drive? Thanks in advance for any help. Why would you want this? The mapping of the drive to F: is active only on your individual computer and would probably not work if someone else opens the document. In contrast the address file:////\\server \sharedFolder will work on any computer that has access to the server. -- Peter Aitken Author, MS Word for Medical and Technical Writers www.tech-word.com |
