Hi Diane,
For the 2nd part, I'd suspect that there may be some disconnected mapped/network drives. For the first part, opening attached documents from Outlook without saving them first to the hard drive, especially if they're going to be edited, is generally discouraged. You can end up with lost or damaged documents as the temporary files Word uses are usually not in their 'normal' locations when working with email attachments. Be sure that Word has a locally installed printer driver available to it. ============ "Diane" wrote in message ... Windows xp Pro/4GB Memory/dual core latitude notebook I have a client running the Office 2007 Suite. He consistently has problems opening Word documents from Outlook. It takes 60 seconds or more. While I am not sure it is related, it is also slow in opening My Computer - that also takes 30 or more seconds. All updates have been applied. Can someone advise on potential causes for this issue? Thanks for your help. -- Bob Buckland ?:-) MS Office System Products MVP *Courtesy is not expensive and can pay big dividends* |
