In addition to Jay's reply, Fonts can make a difference as well - even those
with the same name don't necessarily have the exact same metrics in the PC version as they do in the Mac version. If you're using fonts to which the PC users don't have an exact match reflow problems will also be evident. As suggested in the "reflow" article the best alternative is to send the recipients a PDF file instead of a Word document. If they need to be able to edit the file send both the document file *and* a PDF so they know how it's intended to look & can more easily make adjustments to their copy.
