I've never really touched CSS (in Word, that is), but you are aware of
the basic methods of updating a document (at least it's styles) if you
change the template the document is based on and either copy the styles
from template to document through the organizer, or set the document to
(temporarily) update it's styles from the template?

mind you, this only works with style formatting, not with any section
properties.
