I have created a straight forward document with sequential (continuous) page
numbering within the footer. On pages where I have placed pictures or
diagrams the page numbers (although visible on screen) are not printing out.
All of the illustrations are well within the margins, so I can't see that
they are impacting on the available print area in any way. The only way I
have found around this is to save the document as a 97-2003 doc. I can print
from that document with no problems and no adjustment required. Has anyone
else encountered and resolved this problem successfully?

you are using Word 2007, I presume? No, I have not encountered this
before. How exactly are you inserting the pictures?
