I think at various times this feature may have been requested, but it's the
sort of thing that would require so much furious paddling below the surface (to recalculate pagination) that it's not feasible. -- Suzanne S. If you set tab stops at appropriate locations on the line, you can format the paragraph marks of the first two footnotes as Hidden, then insert tab characters for placement of the succeeding notes.
