Are you saying that the section still starts within the page even after
you've changed the setting? Note that you may want to switch to Normal view (Draft view in Word 2007) to more easily see the section breaks. See also http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/NonPrintChars.htm and http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...thSections.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Functioning Mortal" wrote in message ... I have selected the "next" in the Page Setup Layout Tab. However, it doesn't affect any formatting. To display the Page Setup dialog box: - In Word 97-2003, click File | Page Setup. - In Word 2007, click the Page Layout tab, and then click the dialog launcher button in the Page Setup group. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Functioning Mortal" wrote in message ... I am converting wpd docs into Word. I don't know if this is causing the problem which is: When I change the page number in the section to start at 1 with the numbering not to show on first page, it changes the section break above it from 'next' to continuous.' How do you keep the 'next' designation on the page break to stay without having it change. I have been playing now-you-see-it-now-you-don't with Word and don't know how to win. Thanks. |
