Reasonably sure. All of the page numbers in section 3 were correct. In the
original W2003 file, I actually I had five or six double column passages. I believe that I was not very systematic about changing the settings, so my changes didn't seem to work. I did for a time think the file was corrupt because of the way the cursor jumped back to the last page of section three every time I changed a footer. I used W2007 open and repair, but there was no corruption. Further, the fix pretty much proves it to have been a formatting error--mine. PamC Suzanne S.
