Default password protect!

This *may* be an indication of corruption of the Word data key in the
registry - see if renaming the key (OldData) with Word closed makes a
difference.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord\Data

Go to "save as", a window will pop up and at the top right hand
corner there's a button called "Tools". Click on that and a drop
down menu pops up and there's an option called "security options".
Click on that and another window pops up. Within this window called
"Security", you can add password to open or modify. After setting
your password, save your documents. That's it.
