Default Tag in Microsoft Word

Sorry Doug. Here is what I wanted to do:

Let say I have a very long document (either .doc or .xls). I wanted the
ability to make "Tag" to some certain part of my document for easy searching
or editing. At the same time, I am also looking for a way to export those
tagged area as a new document.

For example: I have a long document and I bookmarked Item 561 and its
content. I make alteration to it as requested by customer. Now that I've done
the changes, I want to export the whole tagged Item 561 along with its
content as a new document.

Sounds simple but can it be done?

Thanks & Regards,
Jeno

How about you tell us exactly what you want to do, rather than one step at a
time. That way you will be more likely to get the most appropriate advice.

Exactly what do you mean by the word "them" in "export them as a new
document".

Dear All,

I was wondering how can i make "Tag" in a .doc / .docx or .xls document?
The tag i am referring to is like a bookmark or a keyword that i can
search
and referring to at any time instead of going through the whole document
again to find it.

Jeno

Thank you very much Jay Freedman.
Now that I've bookmarked my document. Can I export them as a new document?

Thanks & Regards,
Jeno
