Had to uninstall my office program and when I reinstalled it all my word
documents are now showing up as notepad and even when I save them in word
they continue to have the notepad icon. Can I change that? Thanks.

Select one of them, right-click, choose Open With, when you select
Word check the box saying something like "Open all documents with this
extension with this application."
