Look in the Options dialog box (Office button | Word Options, Display
category in Word 2007; Tools | Options, View tab in Word 2003) and remove the check mark next to "Hidden text"; when you show/hide nonprinting marks it only toggles the settings not explicitly selected in the dialog box. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "skd" wrote in message ...
