Help!
Working on a document today I finished and saved it. Then I went back to the
document and deleted some of the text amending it for my new task I was working on. I wanted to keep some text from the original text in my new document. Then without thinking I hit the save button instead of the save as button! Now I have lost the first document! Is there anyway to retrieve my lost data? -- Prandstatter |

Help!
If the document is still open, use Undo to recover the deleted text.

If you have closed that file, no.

Help!
So just to clarify... If I still had the document open I could undo back to
the original document. Even though I had saved?! Definitely useful for the next time. Thanks. -- Prandstatter "JoAnn Paules" wrote: If you have closed that file, no. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Prandstatter" wrote in message ... Help!
Generally yes. (I'm hesitant to say that will *always* work, but it's worked
everytime I screwed up and hit save instead of save as.) Once you hit that wrong key, do a save as and change the name, then undo, undo, undo as much as you need. Then save as the OLD name again. :-) -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Prandstatter" wrote in message ... So just to clarify...
