Hello Everyone!
I have a table in Word 2007 that occupies three pages. I would really like to add a header for the subsequent pages (i.e. not the first page) of the table, but I am not sure how to do it. I know it is different than checking the "repeat header row" box because that makes the line I want to repeat show up on the first page of the chart too. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

There is no simple way to do that with Word. The closest that you can come is to insert Continuous Section Breaks before and after the table and in then via the page layout dialog, set the headers in the Section containing the table so that there is a Different first page header, and in the Primary header of that section, insert a one row table with the same number of columns/column widths as the table in the body of your document and insert the required text into the cells of that row. You will need to format the paragraph that follows that table so that it has no space before or after it and set the line spacing to Exactly 1 pt (which is the minimum). You may also need to adjust the header space to minimise the space between the table in the header and that in the body of the document, but you cannot eliminated it entirely as you will always have that 1pt space. -- Hope this helps, Doug Robbins - Word MVP Please reply only to the newsgroups unless you wish to obtain my services on a paid professional basis. |
