When you press Enter at the beginning of a heading, you insert a new
paragraph in the heading style (which has a border). You can apply the Normal style to this empty paragraph, and it will no longer have the border. But you should really not be using empty paragraphs to push a heading to the next page. Instead format the heading as "Page break before" (Format | Paragraph | Line and Page Breaks). If you don't want a border on the heading, then modify the style to remove it. -- Suzanne S. User has a report in word that has only soft page breaks. He has titles with bold lines underneath. These are not inserted lines, or a part of a footer, franky I am not sure waht they are or how to get rid of them. If I place the cursor infront of the text and hit enter to push it down the to next page will take the text and line down to the next page, but then leaves the original line on the previous page. (????) so now i have 2, if I backspace the text, then I have 2 lines - one above and one below the text. Can't delete the lines. Del, backspace, trying to place the cursor to the left and del - nothing gets rid of it. Question is how do I see what it is and how do I delete it? |
