are the same for all versions of Word.

The dialog you referred to was probably the Format AutoFormat
dialog, together with the options in Tools AutoCorrect Options
AutoFormat that control what changes it makes.

In Word 2007, that dialog isn't on the ribbon, but a button to display
it is available to be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. In the Office
button Word Options Customize dialog, set the category to Commands
Not In the Ribbon, and add the "AutoFormat..." button. (If you always
select "AutoFormat now" in the dialog, you can save a couple of clicks
by adding the AutoFormat Now button instead.)
