If you carefully select just (the contents of) the first cell, the style
won't be applied to the whole table row. On the other hand, if you make use of promote and/or demote (for example by using the Alt+Shift+Left/Right arrow shortcuts) to apply a heading style, the whole row might be affected regardless of the selection. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Es" wrote in message ... I want to select the words in the first cell of a row, but when I add a Style to the text, all the text in the same row is change to that specific style.
