Is there a way to format numbers using mail merge.
Needs to lead with $. Has to have a comma to indentify in the thounsands. Can only have two digits after the decimal place. Note: the merge list was created using vlookup. |

Graham:
Your website is great but one question. Once the I put the merge field how do you get the formula to convert the data. I am not sure what you mean. If you insert a mergefield from the toolbar you
will get something like Fieldname If you toggle the field codes (ALT+F9) you will see {Mergefield Fieldname} Insert the switch before the final bracket {Mergefield Fieldname \# "$,0.00"} then update the field. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org "Dimitri" wrote in message ... The formatting is applied when something updates the field, which should
happen when you a. select it and press F9 or b. when you use mail merge preview and move to another record or c. when you merge Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk On 05/02/2010 15:09, Dimitri wrote: Graham: Your website is great but one question.
