If you prefer to recreate the Normal template, here's how to do that: Exit
Word. Locate the Normal file, for example by searching for it in Windows (Windows key + F); be sure to search hidden files and folders. Rename the file that you find. When you restart Word, Normal will be recreated with the factory default settings. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Stefan Blom" wrote in message ... Do the following to (re-)apply the desired theme to the Normal template: Press Ctrl+O to display the Open dialog box. Click Trusted Templates. Select Normal and click the Open button. Apply the theme. Save and close the template file. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Debbiejj" wrote in message ... I hope someone can help me figure this out as I cant find a previous post with the same problem. When I open a new word 2007 doc, the table styles are shown in only black and white. So I went to the layout tab, themes and the current theme said "office" which I understand is the default theme, but it was in black and white. So I clicked on the drop down arrow and selected office, and got colors. It only works for that doc tho. I tried to create a new normal template but that didnt work. I think I did something to the settings somewhere because on older dox that I have in word 2007, I dont have this problem. Thanks for any help someone can give me. |
