This is driving me crazy! On my documents I have to put in a running head and
a page number, but when I put the second one in, the first one disappears!!!For example: Running head: title of paper 1 It doesn't matter if I put the title first or the number both will not stay .. I have looked at numerous help tutorials and tried to to troubleshoot but no luck. -- thanks, regina |

If you are inserting a header via the gallery in Word 2007, note that one
header will replace the other. First insert the title and then activate the header and footer area (for example by double-clicking the header). Now, insert the page number via the Header & Footer Tools Design tab: Click Page Number, and then click Current Position; choose the format that you want. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "regina" wrote in message ... Do you have "Different first page" enabled? Page Setup | Layout. Make sure
that different first page is not checked. By the way which version of Word are you using? -- Rae Drysdale "regina" wrote: This is driving me crazy!
