How come my image captions works fine till i get to the fourth image
where the caption states its number 5, when in fact it is number 4. the same happens with the tables. once I get to table 4, it says its table 5. then this error continues for some figures and tables, for example table 7 is captioned as table 8, etc... |

Do you have Track Changes turned on? If so, numbering won't be correct until
you accept all the changes. If that's not the problem, perhaps there is a paragraph somewhere in Caption style that's confusing the issue (though that should be irrelevant since caption numbering uses SEQ fields). If figures and captions are wrapped, then order problems often are related to the order of the paragraphs to which they're anchored, but that would result in out-of-order captions, not missing ones. -- Suzanne S.
