Default it should be possible to convert units automatically, like words

I live in Sweden. I quite often handle figures in feet or inches (which I
have no references to), and I think this is unneccessary since it is possible
to convert them to meters, but has to be done by me. I was wondering whether
or not such a feature exists, that automatically converts all figures in feet
to meters (and such), and if not, will it be included in a patch or another
version?

Word does not have a function that does unit of measure conversions. If you
go to Word help and place "Functions used by the = (Formula) field" as the
Answer Wizard criteria it will return the 20 or so available functions that
can be used in Word.

You would be better off using Excel's CONVERT(number, Unit_From, Unit_To) to
do quick conversions.
