Word keeps changing the Margins
Hi,
I'm trying to put a table on a landscape A3 page. As Word doesn't have A3 in File/Page Setup/Paper/Paper size I've had to use the Custom size Width 42cm and Height 29.7cm. These values are taken from the Page Setup in PowerPoint, which does have A3. I want the margins to be as small as possible, say 0.1cm on all four sides. But Word keeps forcing them to be Top 0.18cm, Left 0.63cm, Bottom 0.63cm and Right 1.05cm. If I set Right 0.63cm and click OK a dialogue box appears that says "One or more margins are set outside the printable area" but when I click on fix it changes the Bottom to 2.93cm and Right to 21.05cm. How can I get Word to use equal values for Left and Right that are less than 1cm? My table is very big and I need to use the maximum amount of width as possible. Thanks. |

Word keeps changing the Margins
Stuart,
I'm afraid this is a printer setting. Most printers cannot print right up to the edge of the paper. Word is just accomodating you by applying the minimum margins required so that no text is cut off. http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...sDontPrint.htm -- Luc Sanders (MVP - PowerPoint) "stuart" schreef in bericht ...
