Default Autotext and Macros

Hi,

I have a document that I would like the headers and footers to be completed
automatically depending on what was on the cover page.
The text I would like in the footer is File Name, Revision Number, Date
Created. These are entered into the cover page and i know that Word has
FileName as an set autotext you can choose when creating a footer but how do
i add my own i.e Revision Number etc?

Thanks. That worked great.
Just wondering if there is a way to keep the font and size of each different
ref even if it is different to the original bookmark?

You can edit the field code in the Ref field to add the \*CHARFORMAT
switch, and then apply the size and color formatting to at least the
first character of the field code (the R in Ref). You'll find a
description of this switch, with an example, in the Help topic "Format
(\*) field switch".
