Hi,

I have been asked if it's possible to have guidelines appear in our Reports
template which will disappear as soon as the user starts typing. E.g. Under
a heading SUMMARY could be some text to describe the details required in a
summary. As soon as the user starts typing the summary the guidleines are
replaced with the information the user types.

Is there some way this could be achieved?

Thanks,

John

You might try a macrobutton field. See:

I have tried putting several lines of instructions in the display text and
get an error "DisplayText cannot span more than one Line!"

Is this a limitation of this method?

I included the Instructions text and the MacroButton in a bookmark and then
had the macro delete the bookmark on a single click of the field.

Works just like I wanted.

Thanks for your help.
