selecting all track changes in a document
Hello,
I would like to write my comments in italics in an existing text. It is easily done of course if every time I want to add some text, I first change the fontstyle to italics, but this is exactly what I want to avoid. The idea would be that every time I touch the text it will come out as italics. The reason therefore that it has to show what were my insertions, without using track changes. The problem is the following: if I use track changes, after acceptance it will show the text in normal characters, i.e., the bits I have added to a bold-italics text will be bold-italics, the ones I added to normal text will be normal, the ones I added to underlined text will be underlined and so on. I have also tried to search for the stlye of the track changed text, so that I could select all and format in one go, but I could not set "find track changed text" in the FIND command. I have also tried to set the default font to italics, but it changes the font of the original/existing document, too. Any ideas from one of the experts out there, how to solve this issue? Thanks a lot, |

Have you tried creating character styles with the desired formatting and then
applying those styles consistently? -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "ahnp2001" wrote: Hello, I would like to write my comments in italics in an existing text. Hello,
Could u specify what exactly do you mean by it? I have tried to create a new character style, and set it as default, but it won't let me. The default remains always the "Normal" style.. There is no way to set a "default" character style. The closest thing Word
has to a default style is the Normal style. Instead, what I suggested would be a manual task. If that wouldn't be an acceptable method, ask in a programming newsgroup, such as microsoft.public.word.vba.general. Someone there *might* have a better idea. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "ahnp2001" wrote: Hello, Could u specify what exactly do you mean by it?
