One email address get formatted...?
Howdy, I'm using Word 2002... I just experimented with using a table to format our seminar rosters. I have been using the column tool in the past. In any case, I loaded up the table, and then noticed something that confuses me: Each cell of the table had an individual's name, address, phone information and email address(es). There were 7 such displayed. All of the email addresses were in standard format: yet only one of the seven was formatted by Word in blue, and underlined. Why might only one be so formatted? Thanks for any information on this odd behavior, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |

This doesn't happen automatically if data is pasted in, only when it's
typed. If you have "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" checked in AutoFormat, run AutoFormat to convert them. -- Suzanne S. Hi Suzanne, I thank you for your suggestion, but remain curious... Do you have any idea how, or why, Word might format one of seven email addresses only? (And, BTW, I had pasted the text in...) If they're pasted in as hyperlinks (from an email, for example), they will
remain so. If they're pasted as plain text, they won't be converted. -- Suzanne S. Hi Suzanne, I had a plain text file that included 7 email address. I pasted them into cells of a Word table one at a time. One was formatted by Word, the others not... Weird. In that case, I haven't a clue. Are you sure you didn't perhaps type a space
after pasting one of them in? -- Suzanne S.
