Outline
When I create an outline, the feature works fine for a while. Then the
spacing between the Level I number and the text gets larger; destroying the consistency of the outline appearance. I can't get the space narrower. Here is that it looks like: I. text text text text text text text A. text text text text text text B. text text text text text text 1. text text text text text 2. text text text text text II. text text text text text text A. text text text text text text B. text text text text text text As you see, the space between II. and the text is too large. How can I stop this from happening? This happens with every outline I create, and it is VERY frustrating! |

You need to either (a) set the tab stop/hanging indent farther to the right,
to accommodate the longest roman numeral you will be using or (b) right-align the roman numerals (selecting Right for "Number position"). Suzanne, thank you for your quick response.....and even on Christmas Day! I
will try your two ideas and let you know how one or the other worked. "Suzanne S.
