I was doing spellcheck and accidently clicked on the Add word button
instead of the ignore button. So now I have a misspelled word in the
spellcheck. How do I get rid of this misspelled word now in spellcheck?

You don't specify which version, so there may be a little difference, but
this should help:

Go to ToolsOptionsSpelling & Grammar and click Custom Dictionaries. In the
next dialog box click Modify, select the word and delete it.

Sorry, the version is microsoft word 97, and that did not work.
