Default How to apply a different page setup to a .rtf file automatically.

When opening several .rtf files, I have to manually go through page setup for
each one to get the document to print properly. Changing the normal.dot file
has no effect. Is there some way to apply a page setup from a file after
opening the document?

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to do. However, you can attach a
template to a file and turn on the Automatically Update feature, which will
automatically reformat all text formatted according to the styles contained
in the template and document. This will help you only if the .rft file uses
styles, and if you set up a template [to attach to the .rtf file(s)] that
will force the formatting changes.

Check Tools - Templates and Add-ins. Look at the Attach button, as well as
"Automatically update document styles".
