When I try to open a word attachment from my outlook mail word freezes and I
have to close the program. When I open a word document from my files I have
no problems. I ran diagnostic and it said there are no problems.

Try saving the attachment and then opening it. It could well be a problem
with the attachment.

Word freezes on all outlook attachments to word from multiple users.
I have uninstalled word and reinstalled.
I have updated my word and computer with the latest maintenance.

any ideas?

Have you tried saving the attachment and then using FileOpen in Word to
open it?
