Default Font Change in Single Labels

How do I (or can I) change the Font and font size when printing single
labels? Even if I change to a specific font and size and copy the information
into the single label text field, it always priints in the same font and
size.

I take it this has nothing to do with mail merge and that the text field in
question is the one in the labels dialog? In that case select the text in
the label dialog, right click and format it there.
