Default printing stock certificates

I have a blank stock certificate and have measured the dimensions of the
paper and distances to blanks that need to be filled in (certificate number,
# of shares, name of beneficiary, etc.).

I would like to create a document in word that I can type in the information
and save for use on future certificates as well.

I welcome any suggestions on how to start this.

By the way the size of the stock certificate is not a standard size.

Assuming that the stock certificate is *smaller* than some standard paper
size that your printer can print, it will be much easier to deal with this
issue if you start with that paper size. After ascertaining where you will
need to feed the smaller paper in your specific printer, lay out the
document on the corresponding portion of the standard size paper and
increase the margins on the appropriate sides as necessary.

Once you have the margins worked out so that you can print test prints on
standard paper with some confidence that the print will line up as it would
on the smaller stock certificate, then you will be in a position to use
paragraph spacing, tables, frames, text boxes, etc., to position the text on
the page as required.
