Default Changing 'Highlight" color

When I select the 'Highlight' icon, I find I only have 15 colors, none of
which are really the primary colors. Is there some way to get more colors,
such as what is available at the adjacent 'Font Color' option?

Thx
Dave

No, but you can apply shading (24-bit color choices) to selected text. You
can even save a specific shading color as a character style.

Well l l l l l l l l l l

Thanks everybody, but I think I'll leave it as-is. It's interesting to
note, though, that we have 40 colors in Excel. Oh well!

I don't see that Excel has any highlighter tool at all. It has cell shading,
which is *limited* to 40 colors (as is the font color), as compared to the
millions of colors available for shading in Word.

Almost semantics -
Excel calls it Fill Color, but whatever you call it, it provides a colored
background for text, which was my objective. Only difference is each cell
is rectangular by definition

Dave.

But the equivalent of Fill Color in Excel (as you can see from the paint can
icon) is Shading (and Fill Color for AutoShapes) in Word, and this shading
can be applied to selected text as well as to table cells and paragraphs.
