Document w/o tables
Would you be able to use frames? There is an Insert Frame button on which you
can access via the Forms toolbar (Word 97-2003) or via the Developer tab | Legacy Tools (Word 2007). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "parks" wrote: I am trying to design a Word document without tables for users to fill in information. I have inserted Text Form Fields and would like to be able to have the user type information and press the Tab key to advance to the next Text Form Field. The problem I am having is when the characters are typed into one Text Form Field, it forces the rest of the row to shift forward. I would like to know how to 'freeze' the text on the form so the movement doesn't cause the shift. I cannot use tables because the form is being sent to a Blackberry device and the information within the tables cannot be read on Blackberry. |

I tried this, but the Text Form Fields keep shifting probably due to the
tabs. How can I anchor the Text Form Fields? "Stefan Blom" wrote: Would you be able to use frames? Right-click the frame border and choose Format Frame from the context menu.
In the Frame dialog box, make sure to specify fixed dimensions for the frame. Also, make sure to set the horizontal and vertical positions of the frame relative to the page or margin, so that it doesn't move with text. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "parks" wrote: I tried this, but the Text Form Fields keep shifting probably due to the tabs.
