Default General Questions -- Word 2003

I just received an upgrade to Word 2003 from Word 97 and I have some
questions. I would be very appreciative if some of them can be answered.

1. special toolbars in documents do not stay docked at the bottom of the
screen even after docking them and saving the file. is there an option to
lock toolbars?

2. when doing a mail merge, some people here at work, their help window
opens 4" across the top instead of along the side. is there a way to reset
that?

3. on the menu bar, if you go to tables-, not all of my co-workers have
the same dropdown options. do you knw why this is? they received word 2003
at the same time/day as i did.

4. when copying rows in a table containing a form field, the formatting of
the form field changes after doing a paste. i don't have the paste options
box (smart tags) even though it's selected under tools | options. why?

5. when i do an insert-file and browse to a file location to insert a
file, word 97 used to remember that file location when i used to do a second
or third insert | file. now i have to re-browse to the location every time.
is there a way to set word to remember the last location?

Much thanks in advance.
