margin problems
when I scan a book from an HP printer using Read IRIS 11 sometimes the pages
go into Word with printable margins and sometimes with unprintable margins. The problem seems to be in Wordd 2003. Any thoughts? |

Hi Bookman
book man wrote: when I scan a book from an HP printer using Read IRIS 11 sometimes the pages go into Word with printable margins and sometimes with unprintable margins. Meaning: when you try to print it, Word fires a message saying something to the effect that "the margins of section x are outside the printable ..."? Word works with what the current printer driver tells it about non-printable margins. If the page you are scanning in has some content in these margins, and the OCR process tries to show that content at the exact place, then there will be a problem printing it. No way around that. 2cents Robert -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | MS \ / | MVP X Against HTML | for / \ in e-mail & news | Word |

OTOH, if you scan an entire page (including margins) as a picture and insert
that picture in Word with wrapping other than In Line With Text (or with margins set to 0") so that the picture covers the entire page, then you'll probably get printable area warnings. -- Suzanne S.
